Overall the finish is a semi-matte I think, and the coverage is definitely full. I do blend a little with my fingers, but I mostly buff it in with my Heavenly Luxe Foundation Brush and then I do a little pouncing on problem areas with my BeautyBlender. I apply 1 pump to the back of my hand, and then apply small dots all over my face. I do think that it is a little harder to blend, but when I stopped using this as a moisturizer and thinking of it more like a moisturizing foundation than needs to be applied primarily to problem areas, that’s when I loved it!

I’ve found Bye Bye Foundation to be thicker and fuller coverage than the CC+ Creams, which I think are medium to full coverage. And no, it really is not the same as the CC+ products. I love it! If you’re into L’Oréal True Match Lumi or MAC Face and Body, I think you’ll love it, too.Īctually, it really reminds me of MAC Face and Body, except that it’s A LOT easier to apply. I’m all about how luminous, lightweight and long-wearing this is. If, for example, you would ever buy a lighter shade for winter and a darker shade for summer, maybe this is something you would also do. I know that many people won’t do that, but I often do. I’m somewhere between Tan and Rich, and I mix the two. I hope It Cosmetics adds more shades, because there are only seven available, and if you have yellow undertones like I do, they skew a little peachy.

Great for evening out your skin tone, covering pimples and sun spots, and just generally all the kinds of awesomeness you want from a foundation. This is a great foundation for my fellow over-30 ladies and gents who want a comfortable, long-wearing foundation with a slightly dewy finish and flexible coverage from sheer to full. I’m also wearing the Tarte Make Magic Happen Eye Palette (eyes), Tarte Rose Gold Blush and Glow (cheeks) and MAC Cha Cha Cha Lipglass on my lips. Wearing a mix of Tan and Rich as my foundation. Basically, it’s pure awesomeness in a 1-oz. Either way, it looks natural, with or without setting powder. You can also sheer it out if you want to. It smooths away pores while deftly dodging my fine lines, and no matter how many layers I use - seriously, you could go full-on “cake face” if you want to - it doesn’t look streaky or heavy.
Bare skin on one side, and a mix of Tan and Rich on the other That’s kind of annoying, but other than that little design flaw, and the fact that none of the shades is a perfect match for me, I think the foundation itself is almost perfect.
